If you love wine and food, this Saturday and Sunday, the Grape Days Of Summer will be a great event to gather with friends.
Nineteen wineries are collaborating with open houses to support and celebrate Placer GROWN, with locally grown and produced wine, food and agriculture. Self-guided tours of the wineries give participants a taste of the foothill wines where they can learn a little about each winery on the Placer County Wine Trail. The event is a great way to meet the winemakers and growers who plan to educate the consumer in a relaxed and fun environment.
Mt Vernon in Auburn will have live music to entertain guests as they learn about wine and food pairing.
Many of the wineries will have delicious foods from local restaurants that blend well with their wines.
The Placer County Wine Trail extends from Meadow Vista through Auburn, down to Lincoln.
Secret Ravine Winery in Loomis will be dipping into barrels this weekend for samplings that will compliment meatballs made from La Fornaretta Restaurant in Newcastle.
Tickets are $45 for a two day event and $25 for Sunday only. It’ll cost participants $10 for a designated driver.
Placer County Vintners Association is a non-profit trade association formed to promote the commercial wine industry in Placer County. PCVA actively hosts and promotes a growing wine trail, “The Placer County Wine Trail,” partners with the local community for charitable events and causes and strives to promote a positive business environment for the growth and production of Placer County wines and wineries.
