Auburn Man Arrested For Threat And Domestic Battery

Auburn Man Arrested For Threat And Domestic Battery

On Tuesday at approximately 8:30 p.m., Auburn Police Department officers responded to a report of threat and domestic battery incident involving a female victim and suspect, 32 -year-old David Crawford.

When APD arrived, they learned that the victim and Crawford had an argument that escalated into a physical altercation in which Crawford reportedly pointed a handgun at the victim and threatened to kill her if she left his residence.

Crawford is accused of locking the victim and another female inside the house, but the victims were able to escape the residence and then fled to a friend’s apartment.

Auburn Police and Placer County Deputies located Crawford while on the Maple Street Bridge at 10:14 p.m. and arrested him for this incident.

Officers then returned to Crawford’s residence to continue their investigation.  Upon doing so, officers discovered Kevin McNeal inside the house who was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. McNeal was  arrested without incident.

Both Crawford and McNeal were booked into Placer County jail.

Crawford’s bail is set at $70,000 and is still listed as in custody.

McNeal’s bail is set at $20,000
