Police Search for Masked North Lake Tahoe Robber

Placer County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who committed an armed robbery at a North Lake Tahoe restaurant Friday night, while wearing a Halloween mask.

Just after 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, deputies responded to the Char Pit Restaurant on North Lake Blvd. in Kings Beach, for a reported robbery. 

Employees said an unidentified male entered the unlocked rear door of the restaurant, after hours, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was wearing a “Scream” Halloween-type mask during the armed robbery.
