Placer County Fair Offering Free Admission For 80th Birthday Celebration

If you’re looking for something fun and inexpensive to do this summer, Roseville’s Placer County Fair is the answer. This year, the fair celebrates its 80th birthday, and admission will be free.

The fair offers entertainment to people of all ages. Kids can ride on carnival rides, become part of the circus at Circus Imagination’s blue and white striped tent, and experience the 1880s with an old time variety show. For adults, there’s wine tasting, food, shopping, 1980s karaoke on Saturday night, and live entertainment from the Spazmatics, Mumbo Gumbo, Jett Benatar, and tributes to the Doobie Brothers, Tom Petty, and Pete Seger. Fairgoers can also visit DireWorld’s “Escape the Manor” event ($10 and up), attend races on Saturday at the All American Speedway ($10), take part in the challenging puzzles at the Mind Games exhibit, and catch a glimpse of the 600 pound Bengal Tiger at the Walk on the Wild side. The fair takes place from June 22-25. Discounted carnival ride tickets are available in the Fair office through Wednesday, June 21, at 800 All America City Blvd., Roseville.
