PCSD Kicked In The Face By 24-Year-Old Accused Of Possessing Meth

Placer County sheriff’s deputies on bike patrol ran into a bit of difficulty as they attempted to apprehend a man in Auburn on Wednesday afternoon.

After initial contact was made with Tyler James Kruse, 24, deputies decided to arrest Kruse for possessing methamphetamine. Kruse had other plans for the day and decided going to jail wasn’t in the cards so a decision was made by the 24-year-old to kick a deputy in the face in a attempt to escape. Instead of additional freedom from this kick, Kruse will likely gain additional time behind bars for assaulting a peace officer of the law.

Kruse was not done, even after deputies were able to get him inside a patrol vehicle, he kicked out the rear window of the patrol car in a second attempt to escape. Again, no additional freedom was gained by the man in Auburn.

Kruse continued to be held in the North Auburn County Jail on Monday with his bail set at $50,000.
