An excessive heat warning has been issued by the US Weather Bureau starting today at noon and lasting till Wednesday 9 p.m. with general warnings that humans and pets should stay inside and be in air conditioning from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the period.A The intensive heat will stay in the area or central and northern California including over night hours. High temperatures in the valley regions will be 102 to 110 degrees, the foothills and delta 95 t0 106 degrees. Lows will range from the upper 60as to near 80. They include in the warning that this time will cause heat stress and potential illness for people and animals. The hottest day is forecast for Tuesday with 111 top temperature in the valley and 105 in the foothills. Signs of illness include becoming faint or dizzy, nausea, variations of pulse, muscle cramps, and excessive sweating. Signs of stroke which should a 911 call reaction, Throbbing headache, no sweating, Body temp exceeding 103, nausea or vomiting, rapid strong pulse, and possible losing consciousness.
