Auburn, CA – UC Master Gardeners of Placer County are pleased to announce publication of their 2019 Calendar and Gardening Guide, a 13-month calendar written, designed and produced by Placer County master gardeners.
The 27th anniversary edition, this year’s colorful calendar is titled “A Garden Sampler: 13 Months of Inspiration.” The calendar presents what the University of California Cooperative Extension considers to be best gardening practices. Each month of this calendar and gardening guide features a different type of garden. This gardening guide is intended to inspire and instruct readers on creating a garden that interests them, such as sensory, naturalistic, rain, children’s, container, rock, fire-resistant, low maintenance, and much more.
Calendars are now available at nurseries and businesses in Placer, Nevada, and El Dorado counties; at the UCCE/master gardener office at 11477 E Avenue, Building 306 in the DeWitt Center, Auburn; and on our website. Calendars will also be on sale at the master gardener booth at the Mountain Mandarin Festival (November 16-18) ; Auburn Farmers’ Market (1st & 3rd Saturdays, September through October) ; Farmers’ Market at the Fountains in Roseville (every Tuesday, September through October).
