By Michael Herron on June 10, 2018.

The 2018 River Ambassador training offered by the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) is scheduled for  5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 11, 2018 at the SYRCL office, 313 Railroad Ave, Suite 101 in Nevada City. River Ambassadors are volunteer environmental stewards trained to engage South Yuba River State Park visitors in Leave No Trace ethics and personal action to keep the river healthy, clean and safe. Stationed at four heavily utilized river crossings, River Ambassadors speak face-to-face with the public to provide the knowledge and tools they need to protect the Yuba. We are looking for a dedicated team of volunteers for Summer 2018. River Ambassadors will be stationed at Highway 49, Bridgeport, Edwards, and Purdon Crossings each weekend from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
