Sears filing for Bankruptcy will affect the area with several stores being closed.A In announcing the closings yesterday, it appeared that the Sears and Kmart stores in Auburn would remain open. The Kmart in Placerville and the Sears on Florin Road are both slated for closure after the holiday season. The Major Sears stores in the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights, and at the Galleria in Roseville were targeted for closure in earlier closings. In total, 17 stores in California will be closed with the recent BR filing yesterday. 142 Sears and Kmart stores will be closed throughout the USA.
