Sears Holding who operates Sears and Kmart stores in the area announced yesterday they plan to close another 72 stores, reporting a major sales downturn. This round of closing represents about 8% of the companya s remaining stores. This round of closings was included in about 100 non profitable stores that were earmarked for closing announced earlier this year. The company stated that a sales crisis continues to plague the company.
