Organizers of the Auburn Air Fair scheduled at the Auburn Airport on September 29th, announced yesterday the event would be cancelled. Mike Thompson, executive Director of the fair said that the death of the scheduled headliner, Dan Buchanan, the famous paraplegic stunt glider and sailplane pilot at a air show at the Idaho Mountain Home Airbase, forced the cancellation decision by the organizers of this yeara s show. Buchanan was flying a glider about 40 feet above the ground when something went wrong, and the glider crashed to earth killing the famous stunt pilot instantly.
