The Auburn Police Department celebrated last week with three officers retiring. Chief John Ruffcorn, Sgt. Cris Forman and A Officer Allen Perez were honored with a BBQ hosted by the Auburn Officers Association.A Ruffcorn joined the Auburn force in 2008 as a Captain and caps a career in police work of 32 years. He has accepted a new position as an executive to train police officers in Indonesia. Sgt. Forman was recognized in 2013 with the California Hero Award from Mothers against Drunk Driving. Perez was a recent member of the force joining in 2015.
