An Auburn man was arrested May 27 in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which interrupted the count of Electoral College votes of the 2020 presidential election.
Sean Michael McHugh, 34, was charged with federal offenses, including assault on law enforcement with a deadly or dangerous weapon, physical violence and obstruction of justice. According to a U.S. Attorneya s Office news release, McHugh had his initial appearance in the Eastern District of California on May 28.
