The California state law, AB 60, that took effect in 2015 that allows immigrants residing in California to get a valid Driver’s license, may get reversed in the 2020 election. The proposal has been cleared to get signatures to place the issue on the ballot, along with a move to eliminate the current “Sanctuary State” law and would end automatic voter registration in the state. More than one million illegal immigrants in California have been issued drivers licenses since the bill tool effect in 2015.
