Two dozen people were evacuated from a Greyhound bus last night traveling on I-80 passing Auburn after a passenger emerged from the rest room on board and started spraying other passengers with pepper spray. 27 people were on the bus when the driver pulled it off the highway at Bowman. A woman sitting in front of the vehicle suffered a broken leg after the man with the pepper spray became irate claiming someone stole his money. She was attempting to jump out a window to escape the chaos. The man ran from the bus and jumped on the roof of a passing van trying to gain entrance but failed. He was arrested and placed in Placer County Jail.
