PLACER COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE: We are devastated by the unexpected passing of Sgt. Michael Lyke.
Sgt. Lyke was an exceptional member of the Placer County Sheriffa s Office family. He began his career with PCSO in 1996, and worked numerous assignments including corrections, patrol and investigations. Sgt. Lyke also held assignments at the Tahoe substation, as a dive team member and as a weaponless defense instructor. His most current assignment was running the civil division at the Sheriffa s Office.
In August of 2012, Sgt. Lyke was named Employee of the Month for his willingness to solve any problem, his professionalism and his a can doa attitude. He will be dearly missed, our prayers and hearts are with the Lyke family at this time.
