A hot weather forecast and high winds arriving this weekend have placed the area into a high wildfire alert situation. Because of the hot weather and the 4th of July holiday, officials are concerned that many people will head for the rivers and lakes and are sending cautions messages particularly with cold waters and fast currents that can sweep a body downstream and put people in danger of getting caught in cross currents and getting caught in rocks. This is particularly for children, and having life jackets are a must.
