PG&E headquarters in San Francisco announced this morning the CEO/President William “Bill” Johnson would be retiring June 30th. Johnson took the top job April 2nd 2019 after serving as CEO at the Tennessee Valley Authority bark East. Another Board Member, former AT&T Executive William Smith as interim CEO and run the company until another CEO is selected by the board.A Smith is also a recent board member joining PG&E BOD last year. The utility filed for Bankruptcy in January of this year, and has had recent problems geting the plan approved by Gov. Newsom. That approval came recently and the acceptance of the plan is expected in teh next 60 days.
