KAHI Radio, serving Auburn California with FM/AM Radio signals was shut off the air overnight Monday and returned to the air at 8:47 this morning. The reason has not been reported but with the surrounding power shutoff’s by PG&E it was believed that the AT&T circuit that connects the downtown studios with the two Transmitters at Cool, California, may have been shut down too. The station continued to broadcast on line at KAHI.COM so anyone with internet service could continue to listen on a iphone or computer. The FM/AM transmitters were again shut off on Tuesday mid morning, and returned a few hours later but with a severe low frequency HUM that is interfering with listeners hearing the station programming. KAHI engineers are communicating with AT&T attempting to clear the broadcast programs.
