CHP reported that a motorcyclist died Friday after his 2001 Suzuki motorcycle failed to execute a curve on Lake Vera Purdon Road in Nevada City and tumbled down a steep embankment. A 69 year old Gary W. Wallace had been reported missing on Friday to the Nevada County Sheriffa s office. His body had been hidden by heavy vegetation south of Rock Creek Lane and was not discovered until 12:55 am on Saturday. The CHP reported that neither alcohol nor drugs were involved.
