Walmart has informed their Greeters at over 1000 stores last week the position of greeter was being eliminated. The positions in the selected stores will bne eliminated on April 26th. The positions will be expanded to a more physically demanding a Customer Hosta role and employees will be required to lift heavy objects and perform other physical tasks. Workers with physical handicaps who have traditionally been hired in these jobs are registering concerns over losing their jobs. Some customer groups are registering their concerns to Walmart management who says they will make every attempt to relocate all employees affected.
