Sacramento police are reporting an increase of airbag thefts occurring in the city. Multi-cases have happened recently as parked cars are hit in the early morning hours and air bags ripped from the steering columns on the driver’s side. Thieves appear to favor vehicles from 2013 or new Civic-Honda’s. Police suggest that cars be parked in security garages and if unusual noise is heard contact police. They say it takes about 10-15 minutes to rip an airbag out of a vehicle, and it’s noisy.
