California State Agencies are being task with plans for their independent workforces to return to in office work time. Some plan to have one day a week then two and eventually three days per week working in office and agency buildings. Agencies are also reporting there is discussions ongoing with labor unions who must agree and support all work environment discussion. Also, there is some back pressure from employees who want to continue working remotely. The Governor stated when the a stay at homea orders were put in place that the remote work would become a permanent policy at some point. The economic hit to business near state buildings, traffic and parking, reimbursement to a work from homea expenses, adjustments to pay and other issues must be taken into these conversations. The general tone of the requests from the administration is they want this resolved by end of the 2021 year.
