Auburn City Mayor Bill Kirby reported at meddlers this morning that a new company has leased space at the Auburn Airport and plans to create a manufacturing facility to make air conditioners for the Tesla Electric Automobile which is manufactured at Freemont. Air International plans to hire 35 employees for phase one, and a total of 200 when fully operational. The plan is to build 700 units a month and will become the largest USA production unit. The company has 4 locations now in the USA. The company is holding job fairs and will hire local employees.
