Placer County Sheriffa s office on Tuesday arrested 49-year-old Michelle Diane Lopez after allegedly stealing over 100 thousand dollars from a Meadow Vista area senior man. A bank employee at the mana s bank noticed unusual movement in the over 100 year old elderly mana s accounts and alerted the Placer County Sheriffa s office, which they are required to do on accounts of seniors that are 65 years old and older. Lopez had been hired by the mana s family as a caretaker based on a personal reference.A As detectives investigated Lopez, it was discovered she had previous run ins with law enforcement when she was charged with a physical altercation with a 57-year-old woman in Meadow Vista, taken into custody on elder abuse, intoxication in public and violation of probation. Lopez has now been charged with finance elder abuse and burglary.
