The Sacramento County Public Health Officer issued a rule change yesterday to no longer provide free face masks to residents of the county and city of Sacramento. The statement issued by the county says the public health senior officer does not advise using masks because it may encourage more outside activity, wearing a mask increases heart beat and breathing which builds up CO2 which is unhealthy.A The Sacramento Director of Emergency Management said they have issued over 7000 masks this week since the smoke has been in the city air since last Friday.
