The skeleton that was found near Lake Clementine last month has been identified by Placer County Sheriffa s as Trang Tran, 23, of Sacramento.
Michael Forest Abeyta, 28, of Citrus Heights, has been arrested by Placer County Sheriffa s detectives for her murder. Abeyta and Trang were married at the time of her death. Tranga s remains were found by hikers just off Foresthill Road on Jan. 27. She was from Vietnam, in the United States on a student visa.
The investigation is ongoing.
