The wife of the man who shot two Sheriffs in 2014 has also been convicted on first-degree murder charges.
A Sacramento County jury decided yesterday that Janelle Monroy was culpable in the 2014 shooting death of Placer County Sheriffa s Detective Mike Davis Jr. in Auburn and Sacramento County Sheriffa s Deputy Danny Oliver.
Last week, a Sacramento County jury deliberated for less than a day before coming back with guilty verdicts against Monroya s husband – Luis Bracamontes.
Monroy and her husband traveled from Salt Lake City, Utah to the Sacramento area in October 2014, before Bracamontes shot Oliver during a traffic stop in Sacramento and then killed Davis during a shootout in Auburn.
Monroy is scheduled for sentencing March 23 and faces 25 years to life in prison. Bracamontes faces the death penalty.
