El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputies were called about two skiers who had gotten lost on Sunday when skiing out of bounds at Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe. In a post on Facebook, the Sheriffa s Office said the skiers soon found themselves in waist deep snow due to the recent storm. Both subjects were fatigued and it was quickly growing dark when they called for help. The deputies worked together with Tahoe Search and Rescue and local medics, to bring both skiers down the hill to safety. Both men said they were grateful to be back on “solid ground”.
