Placer County Officials have confirmed that a settlement has been reached in the death of an inmate at Placer County Jail who died from an apparent drug overdose in July of 2013. Anthony Skeaton appeared before a placer county Judge on a pending weapons charge. The Court, being concerned at the condition of Skeaton who appeared to be under an influence, The Judge revoked his free on bail status and he was remanded to the Placer County Jail. Inmates inside testified that he had some substance with him, and took it inside the Jail, and was found dead from an overdose. A Sacramento lawyer filed a lawsuit against the County Jail for negligent, and this has now been settled for 110 thousand dollars which will be paid to the inmateas mother.
