FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 213, 215, 216, 217, 263, 264, 266, 267, 268, 269, AND 279…Placer , Nevada and Yuba counties are listed as zone 266.
* AFFECTED AREA…Portions of the Sacramento Valley, the northern Coastal Range, the west slopes of the northern Sierra Nevada and adjacent foothills, and much of Shasta County. Again Placer, Yuba, and Nevada counties are included.
* WIND…North to east wind 10 to 20 mph with local gusts 30 to 35 mph; local gusts up to 45 mph over exposed ridges. Wind strongest over ridges and through favorably oriented canyons.
* HUMIDITY…Widespread poor overnight humidity recoveries as low as 15 to 30 percent. Afternoon humidity may drop as low as 10 to 15 percent, locally lower.
* IMPACTS…any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
