The Placer County Board of Supervisors has agreed to a one year contract with Karin Schwab who will serve as the interim Council for the county for one year starting January 1st, 2019. Schwab will fill the vacancy left at the county by the retirement of Gerald Carden who served the county in this position for 6 years, and chief deputy for 17 years.A A decision will be made next year whether to start a recruitment program to fill the office permanently.
