By Jerry Henry on March 14, 2019.
California Governor Gavin Newsom said yesterday he was going to sign an executive order that would place a moratorium on the death penalty in California. 737 people are on death row in California and all would receive an instant reprieve. The order would also immediately close the execution chamber at San Quinton Prison and withdraw lethal injection protocol. No change will occur on any convictions or lead to release of any death row prisoners.
