Placer county sheriffa s responded last night at about 7 PM to a call that a man had slipped into the American River at the Confluence in Auburn. He was taking photos with his fiancA(C)e when he slipped near the no hands bridge and was unable to get out of the swift water. Cal Fire and the Sheriffs called off the search at 9 pm dur to darkness, and will resume again this morning.
