Rent control in California is moving into the legislature. A new set of bills is being introduced that would protect renters, fight price gouging, and require landlords to prove just cause before evicting tenants. Rent control action is at a high level by the legislature as they try and get control over rental property in the state and try and establish a state-wide rent registry.
