A local Auburn marine who lost his life in a training accident at Camp Pendleton on Sunday has been identified as a former Placer Hillman. 29-year-old Joshua Braica joined the marine corps in 2010 and was assigned to the Marine Corps Special Operations Command and was known as an elite Marine Raider. Joshua is survived by his wife and son. He was one of five siblings.
