A 17-year-old girl was rescued by the California Highway Patrol Helicopter on Saturday after she jumped from the Ponderosa bridge on the North Fork of the Americana River. Cal Fire described her injuries as moderate, but the terrain where she jumped was not easily accessible by crews and the helicopter was the most efficient and fastest way to rescue the girl. She was transported to the heliport at the Sutter Roseville Hospital for treatment. The Ponderosa bridge is a a No Jump Zonea but it is advertised on social media as a great a jumpa which attracts thrill seekers.
