Joseph DeAngelo, known as the East Area Rapist, appeared in Sacramento court yesterday to a packed courtroom. DeAngelo has been charged with 13 counts of murder and 13 counts of kidnapping for robbery in six California counties. These crimes occurred between 19975 and 1986. District Attorneys agreed the case would be tried in the State Capitol city of Sacramento. The case was moved to next year in yesterdays appearance before the Judge.
