The Maple Street I-80 off ramp will be closed Saturday morning for a Project Auburna , a spruce up, paint the old Town Firehouse, repaint the street markings, landscape the area from the exit to the Auburn Billboard and other general cleaning and uplifting. The project is part of Auburn City and Auburn Rotarya s yearly project to improve a part of the town landscape. Scaffolding already has been installed around the Historic Firehouse, built in 1891, and ready to hold painters and volunteers that will be manning brushes and rollers. This Saturday in Old Town.
