More than 2000 people are expected to participate this Saturday in the traditional a Eppiea s Great Race” in Sacramento. The one major difference after 45 years, this will be the final race. Started by Eppie Johnson as a marketing stunt for his restaurant chain was considered the first modern triathlon. The family sold off the restaurant chain years ago but the race continued as a charity event. The race will start early Saturday morning.
