The California State Legislature will vote this week on urgent legislation to determine how emergency air ambulances and their critical life-sustaining services will be funded when their current source expires at the end of the year.
The lack of a stable funding source after Dec. 31, 2019 would severely impact Californiaa s A emergency and disaster readiness and response for wildfires, earthquakes and other natural and human disasters, particularly for hard-to-reach communities.
