The death toll in the Carr Fire has increased by one to total 8 with another firefighter losing his life this morning. Cal Fire confirmed that a heavy equipment mechanic was killed in a single vehicle crash on highway 99 south of Los Molinos, outside the fire area. CHP reports the vehicle left the highway on a curve and hit a tree, and caught on fire. A Gov. Brown has ordered flags in the state be flown at half staff in honor of Andrew Brake.
