The Auburn Downtown Business Association has donated three bikes to the Auburn Police Department, they are clearly marked with flashing lights, utility bags and white headlights. The bikes will be used during special events and will also enable officers to get behind businesses or schools when patrolling. The bikes are from Victory Velo Bike Shop in Auburn and cost around $1,500 each. The ADBA said they partially used raffle funds and then personally covered the rest of the cost.

In a post on Instagram, the ADBA wrote: “Yesterday morning our Auburn Downtown Business Association delivered 3 new mountain bicycles to the Auburn Police Department. Thanks to Victory Velo Bike Shop for customizing them specifically for our police officers. These bikes will be an added tool that will allow them to be proactive and more approachable by the public while out and about.”
