The Cal Fire Nevada-Yuba-Placer unit announced that all permits for burning will be suspended starting Monday June 17th. The Suspension covers Nevada, Yuba, Placer and Sierra counties. The release states that with high winds, high volumes of dead grass throughout the region has elevated the danger of wild fires, and therefore all burning outdoors will be banned until further notice. The ban does not include camp fires in approved and permitted situations.
