After 27 years as a firefighter protecting lives and property, Trent Lindholdt, Father, Son, Brother, and soon to be husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 Malignant Epithelial Neoplasm Cancer. Trent, who is 47, started his firefighting career with the United States Fire Service, at the age of 20. Leaving the USFS he worked in the two Northern California communities of Lincoln and Rocklin. He was hired by the City of Auburn in 1997, where he has remained as an Engineer on A shift. Trent is newly engaged, has a 22 year old daughter, and is currently in the process of adopting his fiancA(C)as 13 year old daughter.

On November 27, 2017, Trent underwent surgical removal of a tumor located on the cervical part of his spine. On December 12, the tumor grew back in entirety, this time impinging on his brain stem, and he again underwent another lengthy surgery. The doctors are confident they were able to remove most of the tumor, but cannot remove the main cell due to its proximity to the spinal cord itself. Doctors suspect the cancer started in his lungs, which unfortunately is often the case for those in the Fire Service. Trent is set to start radiation treatment on Tuesday December 18, 2017. Treatment will be 3 to 5 times a week at UC Davis Medical Center. On January 4th doctors will evaluate if the treatment is working, and possibly start Chemotherapy.

The Lindholdt Family is in need of support during this time. They will be making a 100 mile round trip for his radiation treatment 3 to 5 times a week. There are going to be additional costs for medication, therapy, and living expenses that are difficult to meet with Trent not being able to work. Please consider assisting this 27 year veteran Firefighter in his time of need.
