45-year old Michelle Lynn Schady, a former receptionist at the North Auburna s Animal Spay and Neuter Clinic was sentenced Monday to a three year probation in a charge of embezzlement against the facility in 2015. Schady was arrested and booked into jail in July of 2015 after she had left the facility in a cloud of suspicion and the case has been proceeding through the system until Monday when sentencing was passed down by Placer County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Penny. Dede Shaw, the chairman of the Spay and Neuter Clinic, said there was no restitution in the order, and estimated that the clinic had lost more than 100 thousand dollars from the embezzlement and almost caused the organization to shut down.
