A close call was reported yesterday when a truck pulled to side of the 49 highway in the American River Canyon and started a grass fire which was close to Auburn. The call came in shortly after 4 PM at the height of the heat of the day, and spread quickly to area grass. Fire Fighters were able to bring the situation quickly.
