A federal funding program is providing breakfast and lunch to children in the Sacramento Unified School district who are now on summer recess. School officials say these free food programs are necessary since these children have no other source of quality food. The program is free to anyone under 18 years old or younger. There is no paperwork required. There are 32 cafeterias open and fully staffed for this program.
