Nevada City and Grass Valley have signed a new co-op agreement with Cal Fire. The agreement allows state resources to respond om initial dispatch call to any fire with in the city limits of the two Nevada County communities. Agreements between these communities and CalFire have existed in the past but not complete automatic first response coverage for the entire jurisdictions.
