Auburn Police joined with outside agencies last month in arresting 15 people in a sweep of the Holiday Inn on Highway 49 in an attempt to stop a wave of pimping and prostitution. A Police officials said this crackdown is a part of investigations into human trafficking throughout the area. Placer County special investigations unit, county probation and California Alcoholic Beverage Control personnel also participated in the operation.
